Terms of Use

Last updated: October 4, 2026
Effective: October 4, 2026

Who this agreement is with

Zuii is built and operated by AUTOPOS Technology Co., Ltd. (快拓科技有限公司). In these terms, “we” and “us” mean AUTOPOS Technology Co., Ltd. The Chinese version of these terms and the Privacy Policy is the binding one; this English version is for reference.

The short version

On Zuii you can have strong opinions about places, and you can roast your friends’ taste all you want. What you can’t do is abuse people, harass, discriminate, or post porn or ads. Content that breaks the rules gets removed; serious cases get the account suspended.

Who can use Zuii

People 18 and over. When you sign up, you confirm you are at least 18 and agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. During sign-up you can enter a code a friend gave you (“Who brought you?”), or skip it. If we temporarily tighten sign-ups to stop mass fake accounts, new people need a friend’s code to finish signing up.

Your content

  • Your logs, one-liners, dishes, photos and comments are yours. The rights to a photo belong to you as the photographer (or to whoever originally holds them). Uploading doesn’t make us the owner.
  • To run Zuii, you allow us, as far as needed, to store and copy your content, resize and convert your photos, blur faces and sensitive text in them, tidy up the table in them with AI when you ask (clearing clutter off the table), and transmit and show them according to the “Who can see” setting you choose for each log: Only me = just you (plus the few staff who see it to handle reports, review content and run quality checks, as our Privacy Policy explains); Friends = your friends; Friends of friends = also people who share at least one friend with you; Public = also anyone signed in to Zuii. What people beyond your friends see is never put together into a profile of you. Today it only appears on spot pages (and, if you allow it, in “Showing off Zuii” below), and we’ll update these terms and tell you before showing it anywhere else. In addition, your name, profile photo, taste card (taste persona, four axes and Picky Score), the names of your S-tier spots in each category, your pinned My Four S and your Daily Duel comments are shown to other signed-in users as our Privacy Policy explains. Anyone with your add-friend or invite link or code can also see your name, profile photo and public taste card without signing in. Strangers see your taste card as of the day before, and your S-tier spots and My Four S as of 3 days before. Turn off Public taste card in Settings to keep it to friends. Logs you haven’t set to Only me count, with your name removed, toward stats on spot pages and nearby (such as Nearby must-eats, Popular here dishes and rough visitor numbers), and nothing shows when too few people count. Details are in our Privacy Policy. This permission is free and non-exclusive. We don’t pass it on to anyone, except to providers that help us run the service (for example, data hosting and AI processing) as far as needed, or when the law requires it.
  • The adjustments above (resizing, blurring, AI tidy-up and the “AI edited” label) exist only to run the service. You agree not to assert your right of integrity under Article 17 of Taiwan’s Copyright Act against them. Your original is always kept, and you can switch back at any time.
  • When you tap Share, we make a share image based on your choices. Where it goes is up to you.
  • When you narrow who can see a log (for example, from Public to Friends) or set it to Only me, we show it only to the new audience. When you delete a photo, a log or your account, our permission to show it ends. Screens other people already loaded stop working within 1 hour at most. Some copies are kept longer, on the timelines in our Privacy Policy: when the law requires it, as evidence for a report, in backups, and briefly by AI providers under their terms. We can’t pull back share images you’ve already sent or screenshots other people took.
  • To run the AI features in the app, your photos and log details are processed by AI providers: photos only go to Google Gemini, and if Gemini is temporarily unavailable, text-only features may be handled by Anthropic Claude instead. What’s sent, why and on what terms is in our Privacy Policy under “Photos, AI and providers.” We hand this data to these providers only to provide these features, and never to anyone for training models. We don’t use your photos to train models that generate images or video. To make spot and dish recognition more accurate, we may use logs and photos with names and identifying details removed to improve Zuii’s own recognition. We only do this if you turn on “Use my data to improve recognition” in Settings, and you can turn it off anytime. The app asks you first, and asks separately before AI tidy-up. If you say no you can still log with Zuii by searching.
  • We don’t sell your photos and we don’t give them to restaurants. If a restaurant ever wants to use one of your photos, we’ll ask you first, separately for each photo and each restaurant. Nothing is shared without your yes, and you can take it back anytime. We arrange these licenses, the restaurant may pay us for them, and the app spells this out when you’re asked.
  • You’re responsible for what you post: only share photos you have the right to share. If other people are in a shot, check they’re OK with it first, especially for photos set to Friends of friends or Public. We do our best to detect and blur faces in photos shown beyond your friends and in share images, but we can’t promise we catch every one. If we miss one, please report it. If your content leads to a claim against us by someone else (for example, for infringement or defamation), you are responsible for handling it and for any resulting damages.
  • If a photo shows you or violates your rights (even if you’re not on Zuii), report it in the app as “I’m in this photo” or email hi@zuii.app. We first take the photo out of view for everyone beyond the poster’s friends, then handle it within 24 hours and take it down when needed.
  • Rate places on real experience. No sponsored posts, paid reviews or vote stuffing. A restaurant that objects to a review can email hi@zuii.app and we’ll handle it under these terms; a negative review isn’t removed just because the restaurant doesn’t like it.
  • What you send through Roast Zuii (text and screenshots) is seen only by the Zuii team and used to fix problems and improve Zuii. You grant us a perpetual, free, worldwide permission to use and adapt that feedback and those screenshots to improve Zuii. If we use your idea, we don’t pay for it or credit it. Keep screenshots to what the problem is about, and avoid capturing other people’s information.

Zero tolerance

  • Abuse, hate, or discrimination (race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and so on).
  • Harassment, threats, targeted attacks on a person, or exposing someone’s personal information.
  • Sexual, violent, or illegal content.
  • Ads, spam, fake accounts, and gaming the rankings or votes.
  • Pretending to be Zuii or someone else: names can’t use words like Zuii, official or support.
  • Scraping Zuii’s content or rankings with automated tools, reverse engineering, getting around usage limits, or abusing the report feature.

You can report any comment, log, or profile, and block the person behind it. We handle reports within 24 hours: content that breaks the rules is removed, and serious or repeat offenders are suspended. Names and Daily Duel comments are checked for abusive words before they’re posted; if one doesn’t pass, say it differently. A comment reported by 3 different users is hidden while we review it. If two different users whose accounts are at least 7 days old report someone, that person’s profile photo is hidden while we review it. Comments and profile photos with a report still open after 12 hours are hidden too. Repeat reports from the same person count once. If a report turns out to be unfounded, the content comes back. Malicious or mass false reporting is itself a violation.

If you disagree with a decision (content removed or hidden, account suspended), email hi@zuii.app and tell us why. We’ll take another look and reply.

Your account

You can export your data or delete your account in Settings at any time (you can cancel deletion within 7 days). If you signed in with Apple, we also try to revoke Zuii’s Sign in with Apple authorization when you ask to delete your account, and handle any that don’t go through separately. Your account is for you alone: keep your phone and sign-in method safe, and you’re responsible for what’s done with your account. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

The service

Place data comes from Google Places, and AI can get spots and dishes wrong, so check before you log. AI tidy-up is designed to clear only clutter off the table (such as phones, napkins and receipts). It leaves anything someone is holding or touching, doesn’t change your food or the people in the photo, and each result is checked automatically before you see it. If it ever changes your food, your original is always kept: switch back and let us know. Photos edited with AI (including ones edited by earlier versions of the app) are labeled “AI edited” in Zuii and on share images (just “AI” on small thumbnails), and Google currently adds an invisible SynthID watermark during AI tidy-up. Photo styles (light and color) are adjusted on your phone, not by AI. AI tidy-up has limits per person and for everyone, as shown in the app; when they’re reached, it pauses until they reset. The AI photo editing in earlier versions of the app is no longer offered once these terms take effect; please update to the latest version.

Zuii’s name, logo, interface design and software are ours. You may use Zuii under these terms, but not for anything else. We keep changing Zuii; features may be added, changed or discontinued. The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, except for damage caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Data, commercial use and platform rights

  • De-identified data is ours: statistics and trends with names and anything identifying removed (for example, how busy a spot is, what people order in an area, taste distributions, visitor ranges) belong to us. We may use them to improve Zuii, for research, and provide them to restaurants or partners, including as a paid service. They never show who anyone is and never include photos.
  • Derived data is ours: your logs are yours; the tier order, Picky Score, taste persona, match results, rankings and Zuii’s takes computed from them are Zuii’s output and belong to us. You can export your logs and taste card (see “Exported data” below for how you can use them). When you delete your account, the lists, taste card, Picky Score and match results tied to you are deleted with it; only statistics that can’t identify you remain.
  • The permission covers every Zuii surface: the permission you give us applies to the Zuii app, website and any other Zuii surface we run later, always within the “Who can see” setting you chose.
  • Showing off Zuii: logs you set to Public (tier, one-liner, dishes, photo copies), together with your name and taste card, may be featured on Zuii’s official accounts and website when we present Zuii, with your name shown. Turn off “Let Zuii feature me” in Settings and we stop featuring new content and take down existing features within 7 days. Advertising outside Zuii still needs your separate OK.
  • Stats already provided aren’t recomputed: after you delete a log or your account, the stats on spot pages and nearby stop counting it within 1 hour at most, but statistics we’ve already provided that can’t identify you aren’t recalculated.
  • Sponsored content: Zuii may show content restaurants pay for (for example, events or promoted placements), always labeled “Sponsored”. It never affects your list, anyone’s tiers or how Nearby must-eats is calculated.
  • Paid features: some features (for example, extra AI tidy-up quota or advanced stats) may cost money; prices and details are as shown in the app. Before a free feature becomes paid, we give at least 30 days’ notice in the app.
  • Messages from Zuii: besides friend activity, we may use push or in-app messages to tell you about new Zuii features, events or partner offers. You get these only if you turn them on in the app, and you can turn them off anytime in Settings without affecting anything else.
  • Exported data: your export is for your personal records. Don’t use it to build a competing service, resell it or distribute it in bulk.
  • Third-party services: Zuii depends on services from Google, Apple and others. If they fail, change terms or shut down, we’ll do our best to cope but aren’t liable for the effects.
  • User content: logs, reviews and comments are their authors’ opinions, not ours. We have no duty to pre-screen everything, but we act on reports under these terms.
  • Refusal and limits: we may decline to open an account or limit use in some regions without giving a reason.
  • Transfer of the business: if Zuii is taken over by one of our affiliates or a company that takes on the Zuii business, these terms and your data move with it and your protections stay the same. We’ll tell you in the app beforehand.
  • Shutting down: if Zuii shuts down entirely, we give at least 30 days’ notice in the app so you can export your data.
  • Liability cap: to the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is capped at NT$3,000, except for willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we’ll tell you in the app and show on this page when they were updated and when they take effect.

Ordinary changes (for example, new features, process changes, wording fixes): posted at least 7 days before they take effect. If you keep using Zuii after that, you accept the new terms. If you don’t agree, you can export your data and delete your account before then.

Changes that expand how we use content you’ve already posted (for example, showing content shared beyond friends somewhere other than spot pages, or adding a new use): posted at least 30 days before they take effect, and we ask you to agree again in the app. Until you agree, the new use doesn’t apply to your existing content, and you can keep using Zuii.

This update (announced October 4, 2026, effective October 4, 2026): AI photo editing now only does AI tidy-up, which only clears clutter off the table and asks for your OK separately the first time; photos edited with AI are now labeled “AI edited”; Roast Zuii is new; strangers now see your taste card as of the day before and your S-tier spots as of 3 days before, and My Four S is new; names and Daily Duel comments are filtered, and reported content still open after 12 hours is hidden; deleting your account tries to revoke Sign in with Apple. This update also adds the “Data, commercial use and platform rights” section. Two items there (“Showing off Zuii” and improving our own recognition) use content you’ve already posted, so the app will ask you to agree again; until you do, they don’t apply to your existing content. When this update was announced, Zuii wasn’t on the App Store yet and only testers were using it, so it took effect the same day.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any dispute arising from these terms will be heard in the first instance by the Taiwan Shilin District Court (where AUTOPOS Technology Co., Ltd. is located), unless the law provides otherwise (for example, the Consumer Protection Act).
